How I got the travel bug
At the end of the 90’s I took off to Russia and Eastern Europe for six months even though I had never left North America. That journey changed my life in many ways. It also left my with a massive travel itch that I can’t seem to scratch. When I got back home I was determined to share many of those wonderful places with friends, family, and whoever would listen or choose to peruse my travel photos.
In the past few years I’ve planned vacations for my parents to Italy and organized and guided an Eastern Europe for Beginners tour for a good friend’s first trip to Europe. Outside of the joys of daily travel in Europe, there’s few things that bring me as much satisfaction than planning a trip’s itinerary. Without all the researching and scheming of the tiniest of details of the wheres, hows and whys, traveling just wouldn’t be so much fun for me. In the spring of 2005, Roads Less Traveled was born after a successful inaugural tour in Slovenia and Croatia.
