Look-out point on Vis Island
“We enjoyed every day from the Roads Less Traveled experience. We did it in style and with more local knowledge than anyone could expect. The accommodations, eating and transport arrangements were spot on. The local guides plus your personal knowledge of the areas was outstanding.”

The Grand Tour guests, May 2007
“We really enjoyed the trip and the overview and insights it provided with respect to the countries that we visited. We are already nostalgic for certain favorite locales. We would never have been able to put together an itinerary like that on our own, nor would we have been able find some of the places that we liked best or known where to find such good food.”

Boat ride on Lake Bled
“We had a great time in Slovenia and Croatia. It was a memorable trip - we loved the landscape and the people. It was interesting to see the diversity in the geography in such a small country. You did a great job and a guide, driver, and organizer. All the destinations and accommodations were very nice. “

Hrastovlje Church
“The farmhouse meals were wonderful. I loved the camaraderie of relaxing around a table with friends in the comfort of a home and eating local fare. I was beyond pleasantly surprised at the modernity and cleanliness of the accommodations. Just excellent!
The artists’ town of Groznjan (in Croatia) and the incredible lunch in that Italian restaurant. The food was superb and ambiance lovely. Really, really enjoyed that day.”

View of Lake Bled
“This tour was filled with many wonderful experiences, but probably none better in my estimation than the beginning scenic train ride from Munich through the Julian Alps to our pick up point in Slovenia. From there we were wisked away to our Farmhouse for a delicious homemade meal and some really good wine.
So just hours after arriving we were tucked in our trundle beds in a new country with a pleasantly full stomach & could fall asleep with visions of snow capped mountains & frosted lakes in our head.
My love of horses made our visit to Lipica a highlight of a lifetime. Seeing the pregnant mares and foals in the paddock along with up close viewing of those gorgeous Lipizzaner stallions being led along the walkway to their daily training session was more than a dream.”

Outdoor cafe, Ljubljana
“Our trip was delightful. I especially enjoyed the walk around Lake Bled our first afternoon in Slovenia, with its beautiful church in the lake and the Castle commanding the heights. I shall never forget great time we had at the inn in Hum (Croatia), the smallest town in the world. I would rate Slovenia and Croatia as my most favored nations to visit.”
-Arnie, San Diego
